Dialogue Vs. Drama

Various Greece websites have been posting comments from anonymous posters which have not been too nice about me.  Everyone seems to have an opinion on the Greece Police Department these days.  Thanks to the media it hasn’t always been a positive one.  That is why I decided to do something about it.  To show support for the Greece Police Officers and to boost their morale, I approached the Board of Northgate Neighbors and urged them to assist my neighbor and I in hanging ribbons to show support.  The Board approved the idea and on Monday we hung over 200 red, white and blue ribbons along the Dewey Avenue corridor.  We had a large turnout of volunteers and it was a positive experience.  It’s great to see that there are alot of Greece residents who agree with me.  It’s unfortunate that anonymous commentors have to assume I have a hidden agenda or I’m working for the Greece Police Department.  When it comes to those argumentative and hostile anonymous posters, I have come to realize I much prefer to engage in dialogue rather than drama.  They prefer the drama, hence their decision to remain anonymous.  Good thing my ego can stand being criticized and I’m secure enough to not take their personal attacks personally.

Greece Democrats

Note to Greece Democrats:  It was great that you finally announced your slate of candidates for the November elections which is only a mere six months away.  But exactly who are these indidivudals –Dan Maloney, Loretta Fedele, Karen Byfield, Shawn Lavin, and Karl Nielsen AND what makes them qualified to seek the particular office they are seeking.  No where in your press releases does it give this pertinent information.  What exactly are you hiding? As a registered Democrat, I would like to know why you think Dan Maloney is qualified to be Town Supervisor?  Who is Shawn Lavin and why is he qualified to be council person  in my 3rd ward are? How do I know he isn’t going to be the invisible council man like the one we already have? I am sure I am not alone in my wanting to know more. Cough up more information or you won’t be getting my vote.
